Twenty members of the Washington, DC Executive Committee attended a book launch co-sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) at the residence of His Excellence Manuel Sager, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United States. TESTIMONIES/TEMOIGNAGES: Stories of Refugee Children Rescued to Switzerland During World War II is the project of two Fulbright Scholars, historian Samantha Lakin and photographer Laura Bernier. After traveling the world to interview 70 child survivors of the Holocaust, Lakin and Bernier document their powerful stories in an essay and photo book. The Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, DC generously sponsored the printing of the book.

The event included a presentation of the two-year project followed by an audience Q&A session with the co-authors and Ambassador Sager. At the end of the program, ADL was presented with a copy of the book as a gesture of appreciation for the League’s partnership with the co-authors and the Embassy of Switzerland.
